Amayar, meaning noble woman, is a milling and export company founded by Su Su Aung. Knowing that the majority of her coworkers were women, Su Su named her company based on the wise woman from the legend of Amayar. 

Su Su Aung grew up in a family with a history of farming coffee. When Su Su began her career, she started as a broker in the local market. She quickly realized that innovations in coffee had the potential to improve the lives of the women in the community around her. Ever since, she has dedicated her life to bettering the lives of these women through improving the quality of coffee production in Myanmar’s southern Shan State mainly through Amayar. 

Now, Amayar not only mills, processes, and exports its coffee, but is also equipped with a cupping lab and helps educate local farmers. Additionally, Su Su Aung is committed to offering 10% of her profits to efforts such as pre/post-natal training for mothers and food safety courses for families.
