Nati Red IX

Batter up! It's Opening Day! This means munching on peanuts and Cracker Jack while singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” It also means releasing one of our most anticipated coffees of the year: Nati Red IX. It's always a home run hitter!

This is Nati Red's 9th inning! (Okay, 9th season...but we're trying to speak baseball.) Each year we work directly with Luis Alberto Balladarez to select a fruit bomb of a coffee to celebrate the start of the baseball season and our beloved Cincinnati Reds.

This year, Nati Red is a Red Catuai Natural from Luis' farm Lo Prometido. The farm sits at 1,600 meters above sea level and is nestled within the mountains along the Mozonte municipality. It is a cool and shaded farm that produces slow growing, high quality coffee. Lo Prometido is one of his newest farms and is treated as a proving ground for innovation. Here he grows several varieties, and experiments with growing, harvesting, and processing practices. Each year the coffee from Lo Prometido just gets better and better!
