Nicaraguan Students Receive Uniforms, Now in School
Nicaraguan Students Receive Uniforms, Back in School
A little more than a month ago, I shared how we were blessed to send $1,000 to help supply up to 30 school uniforms to Nicaraguan children who were presently not attending school for lack of the proper dress.
Unthinkable here in the US, yet sadly common in the mountainous areas of Nicaragua, is the fact that parents regularly keep their children out of school because they cannot afford to buy the required school uniform or supplies.
We are very happy to inform you that, the students you see in these photos (and more) are now in school because of the work of our dear friend Hector and the money we were able to send.
How precious are the faces of these little ones?
My personal favorite is the little guy down front on the left. I do not know what was going on at the time these photos were taken, but it seems that he is not too sure that he wants to be a part of what is happening!
They are all precious, really. And at least they can be in school learning now.
As much as I enjoy roasting coffee and love getting geeky about how fantastic a taste experience it can be, it is moments like these that fuel my passion for what we are doing. It is a beautiful exchange we are involved in: I Roast, You Buy and Together We Give.
Thank you, friends, for continuing to be a part of a great story that God is writing. I am certain that it gets even better as we move forward! There is a LOT more to come.
